Submarine on the Surface

At first, it didn't look very interesting. The Aurora Borealis was quite weak and faint. However, the KP index eventually jumped above 4, and the sky became much more intriguing. The photo location was quite unconventional - not a dark corner of Iceland. I was shooting from a hill overlooking the harbor of a small town. There was light pollution everywhere, the hill barely shading a small part of the sea. But it was enough for the Northern Lights to put on a spectacular show in the sky.
