Above the Cliffs of the Lake
The winter photo tour to Lofoten in February 2025 didn’t seem too promising at first, at least according to the weather forecast. But as always on Lofoten, there’s no point in losing hope—the weather here changes unbelievably fast. In the end, things turned out far better than expected. We had some stunning sunrises and sunsets, and to top it off, we witnessed an incredible display of the northern lights—the kind I hadn’t seen here in years. So how would I sum up this year’s February photo expedition? Definitely a success. The number of photos we took was well above average. Now, I’m already looking forward to the next trips to Lofoten in June and September 2025.
This 360-degree panorama was taken at one of my favorite spots, a place I stumbled upon a few years ago. Over time, I’ve seen a few shots from this location, but it’s still largely undiscovered by photographers and tourists. Hopefully, it stays that way a little longer.
Panorama compiled from total of 310 frames (5-level exposure bracketing of 53 frames in three rows, 45 antireflective frames).
