A Symphony of Light
And here it is—a brand-new aurora panorama from our March photo expedition to Lofoten 2025, captured with the brand-new Sony 16mm f/1.8 lens. This lens is just starting to hit the market, but I have to say—it’s outstanding. I couldn’t have been more impressed.
We were lucky enough to witness the aurora borealis three nights in a row, and it was nothing short of spectacular. This particular location wasn’t originally in our plans, but strong winds and their direction drastically limited our composition options. As the night progressed, the wind eventually shifted and started blowing almost directly toward us.
Still, we managed to find a decently sheltered spot and put together this three-row panorama. Now, I can’t wait for our autumn photo trip to Lofoten 2025—hopefully, the aurora will put on another show for us.
Panorama compiled from total of 24 frames (24 frames in three rows).
