A Different Kind of Pico do Arieiro

Every year, when we arrive in Madeira with our photography workshop, we head out to shoot on the very first evening. And so far, we've always been lucky, just like this year during our May 2024 photo expedition. Although we didn't get the inversion we saw in the following days, we were treated to stunning clouds that stayed beautifully lit well after sunset. This time, we also chose a slightly less common composition at Pico do Arieiro. In any case, we’ll definitely be returning here again on the first evening after arriving in Madeira for the May 2025 photo expedition.
