Finding the Composition

I love returning to this spot on every winter and autumn photo expedition to the Lofoten Islands. Autumn 2024 was no exception, and we’ll definitely return for the photography workshop in February and March 2025. With the right timing, beautiful pools filled with vibrant colors, algae, and life appear in this area.

All that’s left is to wait for the right light and, along with the camera and lens, take out a polarizing and ND filter from the bag. This time, the square panorama turned out just as you see in the photo. And the photo expedition participant in the red jacket stood out perfectly as both a scale reference and a strong color element in the composition.
