For a Moment
On this year’s May photo expedition to Madeira (2024), we experienced some truly unforgettable moments, even though the weather didn’t seem to be on our side at first. That’s how this particular photo came to life. According to the forecast, the cloud cover was expected to remain inland, high in the mountains. However, as we arrived at our photoshoot location, Ribeira da Janela, just before sunrise, many of the participants on our photo trip were ready to turn back. But we decided to stay—after all, we were already there! And that decision paid off with a small miracle. For a few brief minutes, a gap in the clouds appeared right on the horizon. We had about three minutes to shoot before the sun disappeared behind the clouds again. It was an intense moment with little time to spare, but in the end, all of the participants from our photo workshop walked away with fantastic shots, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
If you missed this year’s adventure, don’t worry! We’re already preparing for next year’s May photo expedition to Madeira in 2025. We’ll be exploring the island’s best photoshoot locations, capturing its breathtaking beauty. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity—sign up early for the 2025 Madeira photo tour.
